   When I go through the process of making a motion sequence, it helps if I follow a few guidelines. In the past I've dabbled around with video and a lot of stop-motion/claymation production. Before I would even start, I'd make a story-board. A story-board aids a director in recalling each scene in order.  Such should be the same when creating your motion sequences for any humanoid robot.

    I start with what I'm looking to achieve... a flip ...or maybe a martial arts sequence. I then make a quick sketch of each sequential change. They usually look something like this:

    They serve as a great place to keep nifty notes as well. Notes like, speeds, servo end points, etc.

    Once you've got the layout, you'll find yourself a little more fluid when using the Catch and Play feature in RoboBASIC(r).
